Event Information

Drink Stations – there will be drink stations along the course every 2.5km mark. The stations will provide water and electrolyte drink.

Terms & Conditions:
This must be agreed by all competitors before proceeding. For competitors under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to the terms and conditions below on behalf of the competitor. This is a Legal Document.

I agree to compete in this event on the following basis:
*I acknowledge that running involves the risk of injury and I understand that I should not compete in this event unless l have trained appropriately.
*By competing, I accept all risks necessarily flowing from my participation in this event. For clarification, the people released include event organisers, promoters, sponsors, managers, government and public authorities and volunteers including event medical and paramedical personnel. This release and indemnity continues forever and binds my heirs, executors, personal representatives and assigns.
*I consent to receiving any medical treatment that event organisers think desirable during or after the event.
*l consent to event organisers using my name, image and likeness, before during or after event, for event promotional broadcasting or reporting purposes in any media.
*I understand that compulsory insurance cover affected for participants in this event may not cover me for all injury, loss or damage sustained by me.
Safety precautions undertaken by organisers (such as course supervision, race safety briefings) are a service to me and other competitors but are not a guarantee of safety.
*I am fully responsible for the security of my personal possessions at the event.
My registration fee is non-refundable
*I have emailed event organiser (info@sidsstampede.com.au) details of any medical or physical conditions from which l suffer that might affect my performance or be relevant if medical treatment is needed.
*I agree to abide by all race results and directions issued by the event organiser.
*I certify I will abide with the race briefing received at registration.
My email address will only be shared with those parties relevant concerning this event.
*I certify that I am 18 years or older and I have read this document and fully understand it. As a parent or guardian of the competitor I agree for myself and behalf of my child. I indemnify and will keep indemnified all people and corporations associated with the conduct of the event on the terms referred to.
*Refunds: SIDS stampede Fun Run for 2017 WILL NOT be issuing REFUNDS under any circumstances.
*The organisers reserve the right to cancel the event without notice should they consider this necessary for safety reasons.
*Each competitor will compete on the approved course as directed, will not accept outside assistance and will accept the organisers’ decision as final
*The organisers reserve the right to reject or cancel any entry at any time
*No obstruction is to be caused to the movement of vehicular traffic. Supporters must not follow competitors.
*The only vehicles permitted to follow the event are Police and Official cars
*All participants must follow the directions of race officials, marshals, police officers and SES officers and follow the course as marked. You must make way immediately for all emergency vehicles, including Police, SES, Fire Brigade and Ambulance.
*The organisers reserve the right to alter without notice any of the Race Rules which govern the event.
*In the event of a tie, the tied competitors will be placed in ascending order of their race numbers. There are specific cut off times for each Running / walk event. Any person/persons who fail to complete their chosen event in this time period will be picked up and driven to the finishing line and be assigned a DNF in the final results.

*All team leaders in the Family Fun Run/Walk event must take responsibility for their team’s safety during this event. They must insure prior to the event that all participants can complete the required distance or be able to aid them to do so.

*It is expected that all participants arrive 1hr prior to their event to pick up their Event Registration Packs.

*Those participants who fail to pick up their packs prior to the event starting will not be permitted onto the course once their event has be begun.

*Race organisers will have the final say on any questions or discrepancies.


Frequently asked Q&A

 

Do I have to run in my event?

It is assumed that if you choose to participate in the 21.1km, 10km or 5km run events that you will be running or jogging part of the course. You may however, walk the course as long as you are able to complete the distance in the required cut off time.

What does my event fee cover and do I get anything for my money?

Besides a great day out with your friends and family and supporting a fantastic cause your event fee goes towards road closures, vital infrastructure to ensure a successful event for participants. Your event kit contains your race bib, timing chip, useful event information as well.

Can I volunteer?

Yes, you can contact Brenda on 0405489688 if your interest to volunteer at the event.

What surfaces will we be running on?

You will be running on sealed roads.

Can I enter more than 1 event?  

Yes- if time allows you

When do I need to pick up my race pack or can I get it on the day of the event?

You will be asked to arrive 1hr prior to the event to receive your race pack. If you arrive late and the race begins prior to you getting your pack you will not be able to complete the race – so get to registration early..

Where do I get a paper entry form from?

Please email info@sidsstampede.com.au with your postal address and the number of copies required. All postal entries need to be received by organisers 7 days prior to the event.                         

Can I change events?

You can change between events by emailing the event organisers before the 1sth August, 2017. No race changes will be accepted after this date or on race day. You can change down in distances at no charge, but to go up in distance you must pay the difference from original entry fee. This will be paid via direct debt. Once payment is received then confirmation will be sent to you in the form of an email stating the change and the money received. Please contact event organisers to do so.
